Guidelines for Writing Topical Review
Topic Selection: Try to pick a topic that addresses some aspect of the Chicano Movement (see list), especially as an example of recent culture change dynamics. Whatever you select should be cleared with instructor or T.A.
Include in the 3-5 pages of your paper, a short, abbreviated answer to the following questions:
1)Where?; 2)Who?; 3)When?; 4)How?; 5)What?; 6)With What?; 7)For Whom?; Why?.
Format: Papers are to be typewritten, double-spaced, 250 words a page. In addition to a hard copy, an electronic copy (email) must be sent to the T.A.
Content: Explore a particular topic or person of the Chicano Movement to simply and cogently place their role in the culture changes of that period of time.
Packaging: Two staples in the upper left-hand corner will be sufficient. Your name, course title, date, topic title, all go on the first page. At the end will be endnotes or other references that you cited, at least two or thre
